Chiyomi Taneike Longo is a Japanese-American artist whose work often explores themes of identity, memory, and life in all its forms.

About Chiyomi

Chiyomi Taneike Longo’s abstract paintings can be characterized as dynamic compositions, both visually engaging and emotionally evocative. In much of her artwork, Longo applies gestural strokes, creating a sense of movement and energy, giving us a glimpse into her ancestral connection with the Japanese ink works. Despite the abstract nature of the pieces, there is often a sense of depth and dimension, as if the colors and shapes are hovering in space, connecting her organic gestures and engaging nature with figures reminiscent of the Universe, microcosmos, planets, and the superposition of elements connecting the viewer with the inner self and magic of our own world.
